Lindsey Stirling Brings Christmas Joy to Newark, NJ

The holidays came early this year, with Lindsey Stirling sweeping into Newark’s NJ Performing Arts Center for the first time since 2019, to sprinkle a little bit of festive joy on the Garden State. With her second Christmas album, Snow Waltz, released in October, Stirling continues to deliver an upbeat and honestly, fun, take on many Christmas classics. As a result, her live performance was no different.

Hitting the stage promptly at 8pm, Stirling positively glowed – in both costume and smiles – as she twirled and played her trademark violin with obvious delight before the equally enthused audience – many of which first time attendees. For myself, I always try to make it to Stirling’s local shows because music aside, her performances are something I think every fan should experience at least once. But her holiday shows are something else – top notch production, grandiose visuals, incredible musical arrangements and let’s not forget Stirling’s delightful injection of comedy that makes the whole night an absolute pleasure to watch. This year she upped the ante with areal stunts that added to the overall drama and beauty of her music. It’s a gorgeous show easily enjoyed across all age groups, making it a perfect family outing during the holidays.
